Many of the older Heckel oboes not pitched at A=440! The single-keyed transverse flute of the baroque period became a four-keyed and still later six-keyed instrument, although single-keyed instruments were still in use well into the nineteenth century. Purchased new in early 2016, this Standard AK is a wonderful instrument. Some problem occurred: Either some unexpected information has been sent or system failure occurred.

Previously, if you wanted two of anything, you would either have to use the transposition trick with one instrument to create the second, or use the same instrument from a different library and hoped they matched in stage position and room sound. While it is technically a plastic oboe, it is of a much higher quality resin than most plastic oboes, and can compete with similar wooden horns for tone quality. In many places, clarinets have been added to tutti sections without modifying the oboe parts.

This was the first oboe made by Tom with a PET plastic sleeve in the top joint. Previously whenever I encountered any leaps to high A to C I'd instinctively go for the 2nd 8ve touch which wasn't fitted and would nudge the trill key linkages instead which didn't give the desired result, so having the 2nd 8ve touch does help if you're used to using this key as you would on semi auto instruments (even though it duplicates the action of the thumb 8ve key by releasing the 8ve vents) although with both touches fitted it doesn't really matter which touch you use as they both do the same thing.

The player shakes it or strikes it with the knuckles. Usually the "AC" oboes seem brighter in timbre. Orchestral String Runs was our first commercial library and we tried out many things to come up with the best sounding and most flexible solution. The Middle eastern form is characterized by a turned wood body of simple shape, with a heavily flared bell; 7 fingerholes plus a thumbhole between the 1st and 2nd left hand fingers; small holes between the lowest right hand fingerhole and the bell, which can be closed with beeswax to alter the intonation of the lowest note; a stepped conical bore, the upper part being stepped down by a clothespin-like piece called the capisto.
